Ametnes Legal ERP - Case Management#

Ametnes Legal ERP provides an easy-to-use Case Manager for Litigation practice. All non-Litigation cases are managed as projects in the Ametnes Legal ERP solution. See Project Management

Concepts#

Case#

A Case in the Ametnes Legal ERP solution is a record that tracks a litigation/legal case. A case has other attributes including Evidence and Trial. The Ametnes Legal ERP system allows you to configure multiple litigation case types which can be used during your reporting process. A client can be billed per Trial or per Case.

Evidence#

Evidence typically consists of any documentation that helps to establish the facts, support or refute arguments, and ultimately assist in determining the truth of the case.

Trial#

Trial helps the legal team to organize relevant documents, witness lists, and exhibits, scheduling trial dates, and monitoring court deadlines.

Roles and Responsibilities#

In the Ametnes Legal ERP system, there is several roles played by various individual during the lifetime of a case. These include the Judges, Lawyers, Office Staff, Clients.

Judges#

Every case record in the Ametnes Legal ERP system is assigned a judge. Judges are configured in the Configuration section of the Case Manager module together with their court.

Lawyers#

A case must be assigned to a lead lawyer that has right the right expertise within the legal firm. Lawyers can be configured with the Configuration section and assigned the respective attributes such as Skill, Hourly Rate, Rate Per Trial among others.

Office Staff#

Officer staff do not take part in the litigation process, however, they are able to view cases and other case materials such as evidence.

Clients#

A legal Client is an individual, business, or organization that seeks legal advice, representation, or services from the legal firm.

Attaching Documents to Cases

The Ametnes Legal ERP system is flexible and allows you to attach documents to any Case, Evidence or Trial record.

Billing and Invoicing#

The Ametnes Legal ERP system provides flexible billing and invoicing capabilities that allow legal practices to issue invoices to clients at any point in a case’s lifecycle. Additionally, the Ametnes Legal ERP system streamlines billing by integrating directly with case management and time-tracking functionalities, allowing legal teams to capture billable time and expenses effortlessly and issue precise invoices.
