Ametnes Legal ERP - Accounting#
Getting Started#
Before getting started, you’ll need to set up your opening balances. The simplest way to do this is by creating an Opening Entries Journal and selecting the appropriate type. Then, record initial payments from this journal.
Opening Entries Journal#
To create a journal, in your Ametnes Legal ERP system,
- Click on the Accounting left menu, navigate to the Accounting dashboard.
- Click on the Configuration -> Journals menu.
- Click the New button.
- In the displayed form, enter the following info.
- Opening Entry: Opening Entries.
- Type: Cash.
- Cash Account: Cash.
- Currency: Select the currency.
- Click
Save manually
(Cloud button).
Repeat this for each currency's opening journal
Opening Entries Journal Balance#
To register (book) the opening balance for each journal,
- Click on the Accounting left menu, to navigate to the Accounting dashboard.
- Click on the Customers -> Payments menu.
- Click on the
[New]
button. In the displayed form,- Set the Payment Type option to Receive.
- Select your company as the Customer.
- Enter the Amount, Date, Currency, Memo (This can be any free text such as Opening Balance).
- For Journal, select the Opening Entry.
- Click
[Confirm]
button. The status will change toPosted
.
Create Accounts#
To create a new Account, first ensure that the company for the account is selected at the top right corner.
- Click on the Accounting left menu, to navigate to the Accounting dashboard.
- Click on the Configuration -> Chart of Accounts menu.
- Click the
[New]
button. A new entry line will be created. - Set the Account Name.
- Select the Type of account.
- Select the Account Currency.
- Click
[Save]
