Ametnes Legal ERP - Project Management#
In the Ametnes Legal ERP system, non-Litigation cases are managed as projects.
Non-Litigation Project Management#
Non-litigation project management involves overseeing and managing projects that do not involve legal disputes. The focus is on delivering desired outcomes efficiently and effectively, often in the context of business, operations, or development. Here are the key concepts of non-litigation project management;
Products#
Your non-litigation services are typically provided as Service Products within the Ametnes Legal ERP system. This system offers the flexibility to package your services in various formats, typically differentiated by the unit of measure. For example:
- Hourly Projects: Clients are billed based on the hours worked.
- Block Projects: Clients are charged for a pre-defined block of hours.
Quotation#
Before starting a project, you first agree on rates with the client, which are typically structured as either hourly rates or block-hour packages/products. Once the quotation is prepared, it is sent to the client along with any required documentation. The client then has the option to approve the quotation either electronically or physically.
Projects#
A single project is established to manage an agreed-upon quotation with the client. This project encompasses the client's entire set of requirements and may include one or more tasks.
Tasks#
A project is divided into multiple tasks, with each task representing a single unit of work. A task can be completed by one or more employees. In the Ametnes Legal ERP system, tasks enable you to track the time spent on project delivery. As the project progresses, you can invoice the client and receive payment for the hours delivered.
Timesheets#
Each task enables you to track the exact hours spent during its delivery. As you log these hours, the Ametnes Legal ERP system automatically updates to display the remaining hours based on the originally agreed-upon allocation. Additionally, the system allows you to generate a timesheet report that can easily be shared with the client.
Invoicing#
The Ametnes Legal ERP system enables you to invoice clients for any number of hours worked on the project at any stage. Once created, the invoice can be promptly sent to the client for payment.
Payments#
When a client makes a payment, whether by cash or bank transfer, the Ametnes Legal ERP system make it easy to register payment. During registered, the payment must be allocated to the appropriate journal to ensure accurate accounting.
